WORK SAMPLE: EVENT CAMPAIGN

TAKE ME TO THE TREES 2025

Save the Redwoods League is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to protect and restore California redwoods and connect people to the peace and beauty of redwood forests. Their annual “Take Me To The Trees” event is a major fundraiser in the form of a fun-filled evening of campy activities, a sit-down dinner, a live auction, and more.

THE BRIEF

Save the Redwoods League approached me with samples of their 2025 event furniture/linens and asked me to draw inspiration from them to create materials for this annual Redwoods celebration. In addition to complementing the event space, they requested that the materials feature a chartreuse banana slug.

THE SOLUTION

Under the direction of Save the Redwoods League’s Senior Events Manager, I worked from the pre-selected color palette to design invitation materials for the event. These centered on a landscape of textured layers featuring various natural elements, plus a handful of mini scenes serving as emblems.

The invitation materials were expanded upon to produce a wide range of onsite materials: signs, banners, program booklets, and much more. The goal was for all corners of the location to feel cohesive and intentional, propelling the mission of the evening. From table numbers to activity signs, auction slideshow to paddles, all collateral contributed to a thoroughly immersive experience for guests.
